[The Witch of Misfortune can be easily found wandering around, mostly in the Master Bedroom. Though seems she'll easily stop whatever she's doing and chat with you, at least...]
I always have to go run around for a bit when I can, after an assignment or something, you know? It's just not the same being some other guy all the time, even if it's natural for me!
[He gives a little laugh at the note about pestering Watanuki. Is there fun commentary about the Game or dragging Pieces or something in there. Nirrti is a diligent scholar of murder!]
You do have quite the interesting ability. ...Say, after this game, would you be interested in a contract with me?
[Because, you know, he's a demon and all of that, and she likes him.
There IS fun commentary about the game! Specifically, about the likelihood of a piece snapping and coming to her. She also has a small note about how much she likes anon in there, aww.]
Thanks, but no thanks! I wouldn't mind visiting you every now and then, but I'm not really a guy that likes to be tied down so much.
[He's totally only demon-adjacent, to be fair, and contracts -- much less Witch contracts -- are a curious concept to him. As for the Foundation, well... who knows?
He pores over it briefly and grins when he gets to the note about him.]
You're totally playing a waiting game here, aren't you? The advantage is really on your side when it comes to that. I can totally admire that!
[That's totally probably his way of expressing that he likes her back just fine. They can talk shop about murder games even on opposing sides.]
Ah, that's a shame, but I understand. Still, please come visit me whenever you want.
[She doesn't mind as he looks around her notes, nodding as he points it out.]
Of course~ My opponent didn't really look at the rules too well, with how angry he was. Though you all will learn the best ways of approaching me in the trials, I will be gaining more and more of you on my side.
All it would take for the balance to break is one of your smarter members to fall, after all. Or, perhaps, for distrust and paranoia to be sewn among you when you've all become close to each other...
[She pauses, then laughs.]
My! I practically don't treat you like a piece, but - then again, you don't even attempt to think like humans do. You could become a Witch yourself, given enough time and suffering.
Come to think of it, we needed an invitation onto this island, too. Getting an invitation from both Witches is kind of an interesting event!
[Anon this isn't a Game where you're suppose to trip Witch S. Link flags?? Probably. Very probably.
He laughs when she mentions the other Witchy business, because it's not like that's a new concept to him at this point.]
Hahaha, I've thought about it -- the whole being a Witch thing -- because who wouldn't? I think it'd be an interesting option at some point. Besides, I've never needed to think like humans. I've never needed to even pretend to be one, either.
[Maybe if he weren't a shounen endboss he would have needed to bother with dealing with more humans before now, but too bad, we're on this train straight to hell now.]
Watanuki did tell me about the whole rushing into everything business. He's not much of a strategist, but I guess it could be worse. [there's a sly look at Nirrti here, because like, he's absolutely expecting that from now on] I wonder how long it would take you to break the balance? Then again, I don't think you've used all of your tricks yet, either.
I think I'd enjoy playing a real Game with you, rather than as a Piece. I guess we'll have to see! So is it just time and suffering that makes Witches? You don't have to fill out an application or go through any actual official trials or anything?
[Considering the extent of their power, it all seems a little haphazard. Still lookin' at Watanuki here.
Anon does meet the cruelty in her eyes with his own cheerful aplomb.]
I'll bet you're going to be a real tough opponent, and it's only going to get tougher as the Game goes on -- that's pretty obvious. Going up against a Witch like you with everything sealed is a pain, but it's pretty exciting, too.
Exactly. Well, you also have to have the desire to move on from the human world. That is my understanding of how it works, at least, though it may be different for each Witch. Some of them have never been human at all!
[She laughs.]
Going back to your roots, hm? Tell me about those.
Moving on from the human world just makes it sound like you have to die as a human and be reborn as a Witch or something. I've never actually had to die to become anything, come to think of it. What kinds of other creatures can become a Witch...
[He trails off into thought for a moment or two, and stretches a little. He's probably leaned up against the desk's edge at some point, chattering to her while she peruses her things.]
Well, I've always been meant for battle -- I was born for it, and raised for it, and it's definitely what I'm best at, even if I'm still learning all the different ways to fight here. It's a little inconvenient, but it's pretty good training to have to go from the ground up again, without anything else.

Oh, you're right - I have yet to make any of my actual strategies known yet. Look forward to seeing them, won't you?
