[ SO AFTER AVOIDING this particular week for a good portion of the week, Syaoran is actually actively searching out for her in the early morning so where exactly is she on the second floor (or otherwise)?

Because he actually has a legitimate reason for searching her out for once. ]

By living, I merely mean those who are able to move and are sentient. I would have to count myself among the 'unliving' otherwise.

Hm? Yes, of course.

[She turns around, smiling - a quick turnaround, though still around the same reaction time as a normal human.]

I've been around, Anon-kun.

[She smiles at him, watching him poke around at the old books.]

It's not my base, but it is a place I enjoy being. Be careful - those books are quite old.

[She turns around, smiling at him in her mysterious way.]

Should I not be up here, Sora-kun?

[She's in the Master Bedroom, quietly reading a book while lying in her bed. The way she's lounged out might be a little familiar, but...

The book itself has a title that's...impossible to make out, with a strange mark on the spine saying it belongs to The City of Books. Hm...]

[ He's not sure if he likes that, but he'll smile anyways. ]

Well, it makes it hard to try to be sneaky when you're here.

[ Folding his hands behind his head. ]

Nevertheless, he clears his throat, knocking on the door. ]

[ He's trying to be polite, but he's definitely not calling her out by name. ]

She comes over closer; even if there's no one else wandering around this floor, she'd rather her voice not carry too far. ]

First, the scope of the wishes you say you can grant. What other limits are there, besides not being able to affect this game? If someone were to wish for something that would affect the hearts of people all over the world -- another world -- would that really be possible?

Of course. Such a thing would be a simple matter to change for a Witch.

I see. Unfortunately, the doors on this floor are locked via magic, and won't unlock unless I make them unlock.

Though the Master Bedroom is open, of course.

Oh. Then can you unlock them or are you saving them for something special?

[She closes the book, setting it down as she sits up off of the bed.]

What can I do for you, Syaoran-kun?

I'm saving them for later, of course. I can't have you all getting bored halfway through, right?

[ He'll ask about the book later, but instead, with a steely expression he speaks up, serious: ] Was the marble slab in the foyer your doing? I had asked the other witch, but they said they didn't know much about it.

[ There's a soft scoff at that, though it's not quite with pure disdain. ]

Not the witch girl I know.

[ Ignoring the question -- she hardly needs to answer it anyway -- she crosses her arms. ]

If I recall correctly, you said anyone killed in the game would be killed by yourself, through our wishes. How does that work?

[She seems...genuinely confused.]

As far as I know, there shouldn't be anything in the Foyer. I'd considered a painting, but I decided against it.

[ That expression isn't one that's easily faked, even from someone that isn't the real Yuuko. ]

I was speaking to some of the others about it, and we thought that you were the one who put it there. It looked like some sort of poem or riddle.

I'm sure we'll find something to do. I mean, did you see Takumi touched one of those trees?

...No, of course not! I've never - I didn't write anything like that for my territory!

[She looks...a little panicked? More than that, those black flames are rising from her, and they aren't the harmless kind that she showed in the ballroom when she introduced herself.

...In fact...they feel almost like a curse...]

Hm? Ah, yes. I marked those for a reason, you know - Even though there are plenty of poisonous plants here, that tree is dangerous even being near it, with this much humidity.

[That's all she says, though she has a much more serious look on her face.]

[ His eyes grow wide in concern because he can see that and now he's going to step back a bit, trying to keep his distance just in case everything goes extremely south. ] If you didn't write it, and the other witch didn't-- [ He swallows hard before asking the question. ] --is there anyone else that could have done it?
